This morning we picked strawberries growing in The Feel Good Garden. We washed them in the home corner & chopped them up for morning snack. “I can see a strawberry” “This one is really red” “Don’t pick that one. It’s not red yet” “Something has been eating that one” “Can I wash the strawberries?”
A parent who helped developed The Feel Garden told us that in Farsi, strawberries are called ‘tout farangi’. She showed us how it is written in Farsi.
The children also learnt how to protect the still growing strawberries from rotting on the soil by placing straw underneath them. “Night night strawberries” “Why do the strawberries rot?” “This strawberry is so tiny” “We need to put nets on the strawberries”
