One of the highlights of British Science Week was a visit from Veolia. Back in September 2025, the children entered a competition to name one of the new fleet of household waste livery. In fact, three of their names were chosen! Veolia brought ‘Tummy Tron’, one of their fleet, to meet the children!
‘Tummy Tron’ collected our wheelie bin containing leftover food from school lunches and tipped it into vehicle. The chn learnt that their food waste will be turned into renewable energy and compost rather than rotting in landfill. It was a fantastic learning opportunity for our citizen scientists.
