One of our parents is a Structural Engineer and worked on the construction of The Leadenhall building in the city. She came in today to talk to the chn about her work. The children made a bridge out of spaghetti for ants. But what are bridges for humans made out of & HOW?!
The chn explored structure, weight bearing properties & reinforcements. Together they made a bridge strong enough to hold five children all at once. “The bridge is much stronger” “I put straps on it to make it stronger” “I think the bridge can stand four children now”
