Our core text this fortnight is ‘Baby Goes to Market’. One of our lovely parents showed the children how she wraps her baby on her back to carry her. The children enjoyed wrapping dolls to their backs. “I went in the buggy when I was a baby” “My daddy put me on his back” “Baby is sleeping”.
The children were shown how to balance a basket on their head and carry fruit and vegetables in it, just like Mummy in the story. The children also looked at beautiful Nigerian beads (eleke). “It’s so pretty” “Can I try the gold bracelet?” “I got gold earrings” “My mummy buyed that too”
