The children collected sticks at the park this week and we used them for a fire bowl this afternoon. The children helped build the fire and held the long stick that the dough was cooking on. They loved seeing the fire start and grow. And they really loved eating the breadsticks.
“Woah! There’s the fire”
“How will we make it bigger?”
“I can smell the fire”
“It’s smoking”
“Fire! Fire! Fire!”
“It’s bigger, bigger, bigger”
“I think you need gloves now”
“I see the fireworks”
“The fire went away”
“It’s like a breadstick”
“I want more bread”
